The Fort Sam Houston Fiesta Ceremony & Fireworks Extravaganza is open to the public and features carnival rides, food and drink vendors, live music, games, children’s activities, and culminates in a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Live music on stage from 2-4:30 p.m. includes Blow My Cover Band and Sebastian De La Cruz accompanied by a Mariachi band. U.S. Army North provides a formal military ceremony at the Command Pavilion from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The stage belongs to the 2014 U.S. Soldier Show “Stand Strong” and three ensemble bands from the 323d Army Band “Fort Sam’s Own” from 6-9 p.m.

The event takes place on the MacArthur Parade Field. The public’s only access to the site is through the Harry Wurzbach gate. Parking and admission are free. ATMs will be available at the event.
