SAC celebrates our 22nd annual Multicultural Conference bringing together writers, artists, musicians, scholars, and professionals together to illuminate multicultural issues within education and society. This year’s theme, keeping with the city’s Tricentennial Celebration, is “300 years of Encounters and Otherness.” Students and community are invited to participate in cultural, artistic and academic forums, events, and activities. This year’s highlight event will include a ritual burying of a San Antonio Musical Time Capsule. Conference events are free and open to the public.

As part of this year’s conference, guests are encouraged to join us for “Chilaquiles con Cheech,” a brunch fundraiser on April 25 featuring Cheech Marin, one of the country’s foremost collectors of Chicano art. Sponsorships available. All proceeds from the brunch will support the SAC President’s Scholarship Fund to ensure students, with the most need, are supported in their academic journey.

San Antonio College was established in 1925 in support of the mission of the Alamo Community College District. San Antonio College responds to Bexar County’s diverse community by providing high quality general education, liberal arts and sciences, career education, continuing education and developmental education. San Antonio College is the largest single-campus community college in Texas and one of the largest in the United States.  See our website for specific times and places for our four days of celebration.

Admission to the conference is Free. $50 admission for brunch fundraiser.
