Join us for our 2nd annual Chromosome 18 Starfish Dash! Our goal is to bring together health-minded people to run, walk, and participate, virtually or in person, in our 5K event and to serve as volunteers to raise awareness and money for our obstacles they face so they may lead happy, healthy, and productive lives.
The mission of the Chromosome 18 Registry and Research Society is to help people with chromosome 18 abnormalities overcome the obstacles they face so they may lead happy, healthy and productive lives. We are proud that the leading global research center for Chromosome 18 is based right here at UT Health San Antonio and is celebrating 26 years of cutting-edge research. We raise funds for this research through our organization. The more funds we raise, the faster the research center can develop treatments to improve the lives of those affected by chromosome 18 conditions which include many cognitive and physical impairments. We also offer support for families & physicians of children with chromosome 18 abnormalities.
While registration is required, there is NO FEE to participate; however, as this is one of the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society’s biggest fundraisers of the year, fundraising efforts are highly encouraged and appreciated. All funds raised will go toward the goal of making chromosome 18 the first treatable chromosome abnormality.
