El Rey Fido is an annual fundraiser for the San Antonio Humane Society where human/dog teams compete to be crowned El Rey Fido and his/her Royal Court. El Rey Fido and his/her Royal Court serve as SAHS Ambassadors for their reigning year.
The San Antonio Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill organization whose mission is to protect and improve the lives of dogs and cats by providing shelter, care, adoption, rescue, spay and neuter programs and community education.
Admission is free.
